We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee asphalt paving and heavy civil construction projects in Pendleton, IN. This full-time onsite role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction planning through final completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in asphalt operations, site development, roadway construction, or parking lot paving. This position requires coordination of crews, subcontractors, trucking logistics, and materials while maintaining clear communication with clients and internal leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Manage asphalt paving, milling, sealcoating, and sitework projects from bid award through closeout
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking reports
Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and trucking operations
Monitor labor hours, equipment utilization, and material quantities
Review construction plans, specifications, and grading requirements
Oversee safety compliance and quality control standards on job sites
Handle change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
Communicate project progress and expectations with clients and stakeholders
Identify and resolve production or scheduling issues proactively
Proven experience in asphalt paving, heavy civil construction, or site development project management
Strong understanding of paving operations, grading, drainage, and production planning
Experience managing budgets, change orders, and project financials
Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office
Ability to work full-time onsite in Pendleton, IN
Valid driver’s license
