Assembler 1

An Assembler 1 is responsible for assisting in the assembly of industrial HVAC units. This person should have experience with hand and power tools and the ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch. This position helps with the framing, installation of parts, caulking, and cleaning of units. HVAC Assembler 1’s work under the supervision of a lead or senior assembler to ensure quality and safety.

Job Duties:

· Learn safety procedures and adheres to them strictly.

o Reach out to safety rep in shop for questions.

o Goes to Safety Supervisor with issues.

· Performs basic assembly tasks under close supervision.

o Caulking, squaring, cleaning, peeling plastics, Jamb Installation, blower canvas install, and proper snip use.

· Assists in the construction of industrial HVAC units according to blueprints and specifications.

· Handles tools and equipment with guidance.

o Power tools such as drills, grinders, sander

· Responsible for cleaning work areas and maintaining equipment.

· Learns and follows all quality procedures.

· Assists higher-level assemblers as required.

· Develops foundational skills in HVAC construction assembly.

· Participates actively in on-the-job- training programs.

· Actively listens to instruction from higher level personnel.

· Communicates all needs and questions clearly and concisely with leadership.

· Assists in all other assigned duties.

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Previous experience in carpentry, construction, or assembly of HVAC units preferred.

· Proficiency using hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and grinders.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.

· Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.

· Physical stamina and ability to perform job functions.
