JOB TITLE: Assembly

DEPARTMENT: Assembly

REPORTING TO: Assembly Supervisor

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION: 

The insertion of components into printed circuit boards.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Responsible for carrying out the duties listed below in a proficient, orderly manner while maintaining a positive attitude and solid attendance record.

• Able to perform printed circuit board assembly either manually or machine aided.
• Assembly of wire harnesses.
• Assemble PCB’s into cases.
• Able to perform cleaning and masking, either manually or machine aided.  
• Pass IPC certification for CIS including all Libra required modules.
• Reliably produce quality workmanship consistent with IPC or equivalent standards.
• Able to follow written instructions and provide feedback as to how to improve those instructions.
• Perform other tasks as assigned within the qualifications and training received.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum one year electronic manufacturing or light assembly experience
• Basic mechanical knowledge and use of hand tools
• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred
• Basic knowledge of Windows based computers, MS Word and Excel preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds  
• Occasional pushing wheeled cart of product weighing 30-40 pounds
• Sitting 50%, Standing/Walking 50% 
• Manual dexterity and use of hand tools.
• Able to pass eye exams as required to meet the demands of the products built.
