Assembler

Qualifications:

• Trained in blue print reading.

• Trained on FOD and its effect on product.

• Competent in standard military NAS and NASM, MA as well as customer specifications for hardware assembly.

• 1 year experience using basic hand tools such as Allen wrenches, torque wrenches, screw drivers, helicoils installation tools or be willing to be trained as required.

• Competent in bushing assembly via press fit or use of temperature to assemble and use press or Bridgeport as needed to perform such assemblies.

• Assemble multiple machined components in a manner that conforms to drawing or in process requirements for form and fit.

• Able to assemble Lee plugs and other pressure holding hardware and perform any pressure and/or flow testing that may be needed. 

• Ability to suggest improvements in assembly process for better quality, efficiencies and organization.

• Ability to train others for general assembly of components. 

Duties & expectations:

• Assemble hardware and components in a safe, productive and quality manner.

• Document work on in-process inspection plans, production log, router and ERP system as applicable to maintain traceability and quality records. 

• Keep clean and organized work area. 

• Maintain a positive attitude.

• Communicate any concerns or issues related to production of parts, safety and quality to immediate supervisor.

• Look to continuous improvement of processes and understand the contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS. 

• Willing to work in a team environment.

• Only use calibrated measuring equipment whether your own or company supplied, if not in proper calibration notify quality 

department to have corrected immediately.

• Be sure any epoxy’s, adhesives, prime and paint etc are documented and within shelf-life criteria.

• Handle inspection equipment, machines and parts in a manner that will not cause damage.

• Insure that our FOD program is being used.

• In the event of lack of work or another department needing assistance may be asked to do any of the following but not limited to: Operator, Inventory control, Cleaning, Shipping and Receiving, Deburring

• Aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, contribution to conformance of product, safety and ethics.
