Assembler III (2nd Shift)

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembler III (2nd Shift) at our El Paso, TX location! The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 per hour. The hours for this shift are 4:00pm to 12:45am. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\n\nSalaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Assembler III is responsible for a wide range of skills including assembling, fitting and mounting subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly required for testing preparation and final inspection. Perform all assignments within the acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions. \n\n\n * Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions and engineering drawings.\n * Use various tools, such as an impact gun, sidewinder, and drill to perform the assembly of switchboards.\n * Handle materials by following established procedures.\n * Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.\n * Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar.\n * Perform other functions and/or tasks as assigned\n * Flexing into other functions of the business\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic (Required) Qualifications:\n\n * 1 year of internal switchboard manufacturing experience or 2 Assembler II certifications. \n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment.\n * Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. \n * Proficient with computers and programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint.\n * Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup.
