Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking an Assembler l to join our team.\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $18.50 per hour.\n\nThe core hours are 6am - 2:30pm.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Assembler I will build sub-assemblies and assemblies involving complex and repetitive wiring for Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS). \n\nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 You will follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to \n\u2022 Build sub-assemblies and assemblies using standard operating procedures. \n\u2022 You will be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly. \n\u2022 You will use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product. \n\u2022 You will inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with Raleigh Plant Quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals. \n\u2022 You will adhere environmental, health, safety rules and regulations. \n\u2022 You will provide process and safety improvement ideas. \n\u2022 You will ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution \n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. \n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Previous experience with standard operating procedures \n\u2022 Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repair \n\u2022 Soldering experience \n\u2022 Basic experience with computers\n\n## Position Criteria:\n\n\u2022 Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility. \n\u2022 Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures. \n\u2022 Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed \n\u2022 Ability to lift 50 lbs. \n\u2022 Ability to distinguish colored wiring \n\u2022 Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
