Job Description - Assembler (Leads) - 1st Shift

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Assembler (Leads) - 1st Shift to join our team on Lincoln Ave. in Waukesha, WI!\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $22.30 per hour.\n\nThe core hours are 5 am - 1 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\nWhy work at Eaton?\n\n * Health benefits and vacation time - available to use on day one of your employment!\n * Paid holidays - up to 12!\n * Weekly pay\n * Shift premiums - $2.50/hr for off shifts \u0026 Opportunities for overtime.\n * Career progression opportunities to cross-train in different departments and increase compensation.\n * Retirement benefits, Paid Parental Leave, Educational Assistance Program, Wellness Reimbursement, and more!\n\n\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe lead assembler is responsible welding aluminum, copper, and also for hooking up leads on secondary and primary coils and accessories for single and three phase transformers.\n\nIn this function, you will:\n\n\u2022 Position and shape the leads for proper clearances within tank. \n\u2022 MIG welds aluminum leads to bus bars, bus bars to stub-outs. \n\u2022 TIG welds copper bus bars. \n\u2022 Welds, glues, and crimps secondary leads to coil. \n\u2022 Assembles and hooks up dual voltage switches, tap changers singularly or in gangs and other accessories required. Must take into consideration the positioning, clearances, etc., required for tanking. \n\u2022 Fit, and cut braces for secondary and primary leads, including layout. Bolts onto core and coil frame. \n\u2022 Measure and cut the leads to proper lengths. Measure, cut, strip, insulate and crimp terminals on other required leads. \n\u2022 Does fabrication rework on cores \u0026 parts called for by NCR\u2019s and ECN\u2019s by engineering. \n\u2022 Minor coil repair, as needed. \n\u2022 Forklift and Overhead Crane competency. \n\u2022 Read Blueprints \u0026 Schematics. \n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
