Assembler - Level 2 (Pending Award)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Assembler shall construct assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, wiring harnesses, cables, etc. in single or production quantities from mechanical drawings. This shall include the testing and verification of the parts against the drawings. The Assembler shall have certifications (such as NASA) as required by the particular Technical Task Order or engineering drawings.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works from detailed configuration drawings, wire lists, and cable rundown lists for proper inter-system equipment connections.
• Tailors and fabricates cable assemblies as required. Installs cable assemblies using standard written and generally accepted techniques including the provision for cable service loops and proper cable routing.
• Uses hand tools and portable power tools, as required, to perform wire-wrap and terminal connection installation.
• Uses general-purpose visual and audible testing instruments to verify the correctness of work.
• Assists other higher-level assemblers and engineering personnel.
• Performs other related duties, as required.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 8-hour shift or as required by customer.
