CED strives to pay a competitive wage in the industry and regional market. The pay range for this position is ($20-20) for entry level. The benefit includes eligibility to participate in 1 of 3 different BCBS of IL medical plans, Dental (SunLife) Vision (EyeMed), Life and Disability Insurance, 401(k) with a generous 6% match on a 6% contribution, 11 Paid Holidays, 5 paid Sick Days (based on a full year of employment). Job Title–Mechanical Assembler-Energetics

To assemble small electro-explosive units with a number of detailed parts, following standardized methods. Follow detailed procedures for NASA, SPACE X and other aerospace industry leaders. Assemble hardware from scratch using parts list, custom tooling and pneumatic press crimping. Make intricate fittings, detailed epoxy mixing and application, use digital scales with an understanding that quality and accuracy are paramount. 

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Ability to use basic hand tools in order to build and troubleshoot ordnance and pyrotechnic assemblies. 

2. Attention to detail when using digital scales, measuring devices, and microscopes for small intricate amounts and sizes. 

3. Ability to follow work instructions, procedures and drawings while maintaining government and aerospace industry standards. 

4. Comfortable working with microscopes small components with large manufacturing lots 

Basic Requirements: 

1. Excellent fine motor-skills to work with very small devices, microscopes and tools. 

2.  Attention to details when measuring and loading energetic materials. 

3.  Attention to Details when filling out assembly paperwork. Individual operators performing procedural steps are ultimately accountable for the integrity of assembly paperwork.

Working with industries where our parts are used, we fall under multiple regulatory agencies. All CED Employees must meet the following minimum requirements. 

· Missile Defense Agency requires our employees be US Citizen, US Person (permanent resident or granted status as a “protected person” under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) (refugee and asylum recipients)
