Core Responsibility:

• Measure, compare and make simple or complex shop calculations necessary to ensure products are in conformance with engineering or sales specifications using materials, methods and equipment in the shop (included but not limited to sanders, drills, air, and electric hand cutting tools)

• Material fit ups and layouts with steel

• Apply non-standard repairs to units using assembly practices and procedures

• Review units for readiness, PDI and final inspections

• Complete requirements for unit readiness, PDI and Final shipment.

• Complete premium and skilled operations such as Weld and Paint as needed

• Position and secure workpieces using hand tools, forklifts, etc.

• Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions

• Sanding/grinding

• Breaking out steel

• Steel panel assembly with bolt together construction

• Material handling/forklift

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent, required

• Manufacturing experience, preferred

• Able to use power tools

• Able to read tape measure

• Able to lift 50 lbs.

• Able to read blueprints

• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve

• Must be highly motivated

• Able to communicate and work well with others

• Read, write and speak English fluently
