Job Description - Assembly & Test Technician II - 1st Shift

Eaton\u2019s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking an Assembly \u0026 Test Technician II - 1st Shift. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $24-$28.50 per hour.\n\nThe core hours are 3:00pm-11:30pm.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Assembly \u0026 Test Technician is responsible for performing assembly and test processes on aerospace hardware. Development of hardware, creating functional test setups, working with various high-pressure gases, and initiating engineering collaboration to successfully deliver quality aerospace components and systems. Technicians are Responsible for communicating and coordinating with the Production Supervisor regarding specific production needs (part availability, equipment, production status, and schedule updates) to ensure on-time delivery. Perform assembly and testing of production hardware within the confines of the systems and procedures and the certified operator system. \n \nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Responsible for ensuring that compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are met. \n\u2022 Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status including job specific training/certifications and ERP system data entry in accordance with site guidelines. \n\u2022 Possess knowledge/experience with assembly and test requirements. Ability to evaluate mechanical systems, use of common assembly tools/measuring equipment. \n\u2022 Independently perform low and moderate complexity assembly and test operations following written instructions. \n\u2022 Ability to perform low to moderate complexity product testing using test equipment while following written acceptance test documents. \n\u2022 Understands product quality requirements and follows non-conforming material processes. Reports findings to team and generates non-conforming hardware documentation. \n\u2022 Basic understanding of pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, and able to troubleshoot low to moderate issues with minimal supervision. \n\u2022 Basic experience with ERP systems and standard Microsoft applications.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. \n\u2022 2 years of relevant manufacturing/ mechanical experience or Military experience \n\u2022 Previous experience using various hand tools and measuring equipment. \n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. \n\u2022 This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. \u0027Green Card Holder\u0027), Political Asylee, or Refugee. \nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 High School Diploma with Skilled Trade certification or Associates Degree \n\u2022 3 years of Aerospace Manufacturing or Assembly and Test \n\n## Position Criteria:\n\n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to complete all required technical skills above. \n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to use various hand tools and measuring equipment. \n\u2022 Demonstrated understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts \n\u2022 Able to follow work instructions and perform tasks without supervision. \n\u2022 Able to communicate effectively, manage time and adapt to various work environments. \n\u2022 Ability to communicate effectively, manage time and adapt to various work environments.\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
