Job Summary
The Assembly Associate II performs intermediate-level electro-mechanical assembly tasks with increased independence and consistency. This role requires prior experience in a manufacturing environment and the ability to interpret more complex instructions, BOMs, and schematics. Associates at this level may assist with basic troubleshooting and mentor entry-level team members.
Primary Responsibilities
· Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of moderately complex components
· Interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials (BOMs)
· Use calibrated tools and test equipment with attention to detail
· Perform in-process quality checks and escalate issues as needed
· Participate in first article builds or prototyping under supervision
· Assist with training or guiding Assembly I team members
· Maintain clean and safe work environment, adhering to lean/5S practices
· Consistently Maintain production and quality metrics
Qualifications
· 1–2 years of prior electro-mechanical assembly experience
· Familiarity with ESD practices and IPC-A-610 (preferred)
· Ability to read and understand manufacturing documentation
Education/Previous Experience Requirements
· High school diploma or GED required
· Prior manufacturing, assembly, or soldering experience
· Additional technical training or certifications preferred.
· On-the-job training will be provided
