Assembly Operations Supervisor

Description:

• Ensure assembly line remains continuously supplied with work and materials to prevent downtime


• Track production output and communicate progress against daily goals


• Identify and resolve production delays, bottlenecks, and constraints


• Direct and support assembly and team members to achieve safety, quality, and productivity objectives


• Reassign and pivot team members as needed to balance work loads and maintain production workflow


• Ensure all assembly stations tools, equipment, and supplies required for production.


• Conduct daily tool and equipment inspections to verify functionality and availability


• Evaluate assembly processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and throughput


• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and process improvement projects


• Investigate and address safety concerns, quality issues, and production defects

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Typically 2-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment, depending on degree requirements. 


• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or operations management preferred.


• Skills: Excellent verbal communication, robust conflict resolution, and solid computer proficiency (including ERP or MRP software and MS Office)
