Assembly Prep Technician 

The Assembly Prep Technician is responsible for preparing and staging components for industrial HVAC units. This person will handle basic preparation tasks such as peeling protective tape, moving parts to their proper locations, and applying caulk or performing detail work on units. The Assembly Prep Technician works under the supervision of a lead.

Job Duties: 

· Learn and strictly follow all safety procedures.

o Consult the safety representative or supervisor with questions or concerns.

· Prepare HVAC components for assembly.

o Peel protective tape or coverings from metal and other parts.

o Move components to staging areas or assembly stations as directed.

o Apply caulk or detail finishes to units as required.

· Assist assemblers by providing prepped parts efficiently and accurately.

· Handle tools and equipment safely under guidance.

o Includes basic hand tools and potentially small power tools.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.

· Follow all quality procedures and standards.

· Actively participate in on-the-job training programs to develop skills in HVAC construction.

· Communicate clearly and promptly with supervisors and team members regarding needs or issues.

· Assist in all other assigned duties as needed to support the assembly process.

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.

· Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity. 

· Physical stamina and ability to perform job functions.

o Lifting 50 lbs -Frequently
