Assembly Technician

HP Tuners LLC is a global leader in the automotive aftermarket, developing hardware and software for vehicle calibration. 

The position assembles and disassembles components using basic hand tools, fulfills orders, kits and maintains inventory, and creates and upkeeps documentation for the department and customers.

HP Tuners  maintains a 1 shift operation, Monday through Friday onsite in Buffalo Grove, IL and all assembly operations will occur in an HVAC controlled environment. 

This position reports to the Production Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Use demand planning techniques, determine work priorities, and production schedules.

· Assemble and disassemble small electronic components using basic hand tools.

· Perform visual quality control inspections.

· Use automated computer programs to transfer data.

· Kit and package products.

· Document completed work in an accurate and efficient manner.

· Perform inventory upkeep functions, including planning and managing inventory levels.

· Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Lean Manufacturing Principles (5S).

· Maintain hand tools and equipment as per work instructions.

Education and Experience

· Requires a high school diploma, GED, or combination of 0-2 years of work experience/skill development, preferably in a manufacturing environment. 

· Assume responsibility for basic issues and problems while continuously improving skill base and referring complex issues to higher-level staff.

· Perform work effectively under close supervision.

· Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

· Ability to use small hand tools.

· Ability to lift 25+ lbs.

· Technical aptitude required.

· Soldering and diagnostic tools experience a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

· Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and work at a desk and computer for prolonged periods of time.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated base range for this position is $18.00-19.00 per hour, with actual pay determined including factors such as location, skills, experience, and other relevant considerations. This position also qualifies for a discretionary bonus and a complete benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, paid time off (PTO), and a 401(k) program with employer matching.
