Job Description - Assembly Technician II (2nd Shift)
Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembly Technician II (2nd Shift).\n\nThe rate for this position is $18.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The hours are Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 11:30pm. \nThis position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Assembler II is responsible for meeting daily production targets with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, inventory management, and productivity. This role focuses on assembling Low Voltage Assemblies and performing all associated tasks, including those assigned to Assembler I positions (Flex and Lean), as well as assembly machine operation. Additional responsibilities include PowerWave2 hi-pot testing, label creation, quality verification, and completing material transactions in AS400.\n\n \n\u2022 May be required to obtain or maintain QEW certification to perform electrical testing on assemblies, as applicable. \n\u2022 Use a variety of fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust, or repair components. \n\u2022 Perform layout work and operate tools such as drills, saws, punches, riveters, caulking equipment, and painting tools as needed. \n\u2022 Apply identification labels to completed assemblies. \n\u2022 Retrieve and deliver materials to the assembly line to support production flow. \n\u2022 Prepare assemblies for shipment or storage as part of the final assembly process. \n\u2022 Follow all safety policies, procedures, and WSRA requirements. \n\u2022 Adhere to standard operating procedures and method sheets. \n\u2022 Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings. \n\u2022 Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors. \n\u2022 Conduct visual inspections of materials before and after assembly. \n\u2022 Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet all specifications. \n\u2022 Support other production areas or perform duties of other positions as needed.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic: \n\u2022 Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. \n\u2022 6 months of industrial manufacturing experience\n\n\u2022 6 months of experience using hand and air tools\n\n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
