Founded in 2013 in Austin, Texas and open for business in 2015, X-Microwave has grown to serve a wide range of customers across the RF and Microwave industry. The business began with models designed in SolidWorks and simulations using Keysight’s ADS and Genesys. The standard was defined from our home offices and prototypes were ordered. The first new piece of test equipment was a 67 GHz Keysight PNA-X. After a little persistence, we were delighted to show outstanding results to 67 GHz, well beyond our initial goal of 40 GHz. Through the support of numerous suppliers, partners, and customers the concept has matured and truly come to life. The growing team has designed-in tens, hundreds, and now thousands of RF devices across every component category. We coined and registered the trademark X-MWblocks® (‘X-Microwave Blocks”) for our Drop-In Components. With a single focus on quality and customer success, the team has continued to expand, building a full manufacturing operation in our Austin, TX office. Position Overview:

We are seeking an assembly technician to work on state-of-the-art, Printed circuit boards and RF components. Support production using manual and automated manufacturing equipment. Broadly responsible for assembling, building, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying electronic circuits according to engineering instructions and customer specifications. Document and certify testing to military standards using approved acceptance test procedures.

Preferred qualification – IPC J-STD soldering certification

Essential Functions:

· Perform testing and modifications on product using approved procedures.

· Fine motor skills, able to work with small parts and fine gauge wire.

· Ability manipulate and build assemblies under a microscope.

· Ability to hand solder small parts and fine gauge wire.

· Troubleshoot circuits to component level using schematics and circuit knowledge.

· Mentor, supervise and assist other technicians.

· Report product status to management.

· Ensure product is moved through testing sequences in a timely manner to meet schedule demands.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

· High School Diploma.

· Technical Degree in relevant field preferred.

· 5 or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience:

· Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be detail-oriented and possess knowledge of manufacturing procedures and practices.

· Technical knowledge of electronic test and repair theories, principles, methods and techniques.

· Skill in interpreting drawings, schematics, and specifications.
