Assistant Accountant

• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  




• Process and record invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions.
  




• Support the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and financial statements.
  




• Reconcile bank statements and other financial records.
  




• Assist with filing and maintaining accounting documents and records.
  




• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
  




• Maintain petty cash records and ensure proper documentation.
  




• Prepare payment vouchers, journal entries, and data entry into accounting systems.
  




• Support payroll processing by compiling and verifying employee data.
  




• Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding payments or invoices.
  




• Assist with inventory reconciliation and stock records.
  




• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data and sensitive information.
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  




• Proven experience as an accounting assistant or in a similar role is an advantage.
  




• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or Sage).
  




• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  




• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  




• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  




• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  




• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  




• Knowledge of tax filing procedures and compliance.
