Job Title: Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) I

Department: Service

Reports To: Branch Manager

Job Status: Non-Exempt

Primary Purpose:
Help us create an effortless member experience that fosters loyalty and satisfaction.

What You'll Do:
As an Assistant Branch Manager, you'll be the captain of our service team, guiding them to success with your leadership and expertise. Your daily adventures will include:

  • Living Our Core Values:

    • Make It Easy: Provide simple, convenient financial solutions.
    • Make It Personal: Build deep, personal relationships with our members.
  • Member Magic:
    • Identify members' financial needs and recommend products or services to improve their financial lives.
    • Resolve complex member issues with a smile.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise, guide, and review the work of service staff.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training.
    • Coach staff on member cross-sell goals and NPS standards.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure workstations are properly staffed and available throughout the day.
    • Maintain maximum security over cash and negotiable items.
    • Perform periodic audits and notary services.
  • Branch Goals:
    • Achieve transactional and relationship survey goals.
    • Forecast cash needs and manage cash flow.

What We're Looking For:

  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Knowledge of credit union products, services, and regulations.
    • Proficient in branch service principles and procedures.
    • Strong supervisory and coaching skills.
    • Excellent member service and interpersonal skills.
    • Decision-making and problem-solving prowess.
    • Computer skills (email, internet, word processing, spreadsheets).
  • Experience:
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • 1-3 years as a Branch Service or Teller supervisor.
    • Lending or new accounts experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Light physical activity with frequent walking, standing, or sitting.
  • Manual dexterity for keyboarding and handling items.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to branch locations as needed.
  • Reliable transportation.

Work Environment:

  • Well-lit, heated, and air-conditioned indoor office setting.
  • Moderate noise level.

Work Schedule:

  • 40-hour workweek with occasional overtime.
  • Flexibility to attend meetings before or after scheduled hours.

Travel:

  • Minimal overnight travel may be required.
