Reports to: Café Manager

Job Summary: 

Under the direction of the Café Manager, this individual will help coordinate all Front of the House activities with a customer-focused approach to all interactions and manage all employees.  It is imperative that this individual provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all   of our guests. 

Requirements

Activities & Responsibilities

Primary

• Train and guide café employees to have superb customer service at all times.

• Communicate professionally with all employees to ensure effective store operations.

• Monitor and manage café staff by conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve operational performance.

• Lead process improvements through suggestions and implementation.

• Develop, track, maintain weekly schedule, in addition, employees vacation time.

• Schedules café events, books rooms and coordinates staff to work events with Sales Manager.

• Responsible for managing and tracking of inventory; FOH inventory, cleaning supplies, dishware, takeout supplies, & barware.

• Staff Scheduling, to assure that you run your labor percentage along with making sure that each employee is properly trained in their perspective position.

• Responsible for the café to be in accordance to proper sanitation and cleaning standards.

• Assists as a back-up for Studio Café staff, jump in as needed for support and guidance.

• Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the purpose of Hanna Brothers.

• Monitor and observe guests dining experience to ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service, and respond promptly and courteously to correct any problems.

• Check guests' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.

• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.

• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.

Supplemental

• Provide guests with information about local areas, including giving directions. And other cross functional assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in Sales & Hospitality.

• Solid experience in leading a team.

• Must be professional, motivated, independent & Sales oriented.

• Customer-focused approach to all interactions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong organizational skills a must.

• Language skills – Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

• Mathematical skills – Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.  Experience with balancing cash registers.

• Reasoning Ability – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Computer Skills – Ability to perform this job successfully, an individual should be Business Savvy in Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, & Powerpoint)  & experience with Point of Sales (POS) systems.
