Assistant Controller

Responsibilities 

Maintain clean accounting schedules

Perform bank reconciliations

Research open items and involve appropriate staff to account for

Perform month-end reconciliations and close functions

Perform necessary accruals 

Reconcile and maintain Prepaid accounts

Assist with payroll calculations

Perform forensic accounting functions

Cross-train on all positions

Requirements 

Must have minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting department performing similar tasks.

Experience using a dealership management system (DMS), preferably CDK

Developed written and verbal communication skills

Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills to ensure records and reports are accurate

Self-starter with ability to work independently and with a team

Strong project management skills. Able to work multiple projects simultaneously and flexible enough to handle lots of information at once

Accounting degree (preferred, not required)

Experience in automotive dealership (preferred, not required)

Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
