Assistant Cook

Worksite: On-site
Location: SOG Tactical Center, Camp Beauregard, Pineville, LA
Job Type: Full-Time

Duties:

• Assist the Cook in preparing meals, including prepping ingredients, organizing supplies, and maintaining clean cooking stations.
• Support in setting up and maintaining the food service area, ensuring meals are served promptly.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces and equipment as needed throughout the day.
• Handle inventory tasks, including organizing and properly storing supplies.
• Assist with portion control and food handling to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen support or assistant cook role.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must have a valid Food Handler’s Certificate (State of Louisiana or equivalent).
