The City of Columbia, Missouri is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as Assistant Director of Electric Utility. Reporting to the Director of Utilities, the Assistant Director of Electric Utility will:
Provide leadership in planning, directing, and organizing daily operations of the electric utility division.
Oversee personnel, operations, customer service, facilities, capital improvements, maintenance, and engineering functions.
Support implementation of strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Manage division budgets and assist with annual operating and capital budget preparation.
Represent the department before City Council, advisory boards, and community stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and deliver exceptional customer service to residents and businesses.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
7–9 years of utility operations experience, including prior supervisory/management experience.
Experience in electrical utility operations strongly preferred.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.

Salary Range: $106,506 – $164,019 (midpoint $135,263)

Residency in Columbia, Missouri, is preferred.
