About Us:

Thayermahan is a leader in Underwater Acoustic Monitoring. In the Persistent Surveillance Systems department, we monitor and localize passive acoustic contacts on a 24/7 operational schedule for many different contracts. Our team is devoted to providing timely and accurate contact reporting on both biologic and manmade contacts. We also do all our piloting in-house for a variety of unmanned vehicles, which we use to carry our acoustic payloads.

Job Title: Assistant Director of Maritime Operations

Reporting to: Deputy Director of Maritime Operations

Position Type: Full Time/Part Time/Intern: Full Time

Position Summary: The Assistant Director of Maritime Operations will be responsible but not limited to the following

· Prepare, launch, and recover autonomous vehicles and surveillance equipment

· Creative problem solving on location, platform assembly, troubleshooting, coordination with operations leadership team

· Excellent communicator, team player, budget conscious, adapt to issues in the field, deliver on schedule, and interact with customers

· Flexibility in events that require at sea deployments on short notice

Role and Responsibilities:

· Run a team conducting at sea operations on both small craft and large offshore supply vessels

· Water operations and maintenance of support vessel and all related marine operations equipment assistance - tenders, docks and launch tools (crane/forklift)
