Job Description - Assistant Director of Compliance
Property Solutions and Services (PSS) is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Compliance to support our growing affordable housing portfolio across the Twin Cities. This role partners closely with the Director of Compliance and serves as a technical and organizational leader across HUD, Tax Credit, and locally funded programs.
This is a senior-level compliance role for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys problem-solving, and can balance high-level oversight with hands-on support.
Primary responsibilities include:
Managing and tracking gross rent changes and contract rent increases
Coordinating PBV, MOD, MHOP, and other subsidy rent adjustments
Supporting HCV rent optimization for assisted units
Overseeing physical inspections and coordinating corrective actions
Supporting file reviews and responding to agency findings
Providing guidance to compliance staff and supporting workflow consistency
Supporting meeting follow up, documentation, and implementation
Assisting with file reviews and inspection coverage as needed
Required qualifications:
Strong background in PBRA housing, including EIV repayment agreements, vouchers, certification posting, vacancy claims, and ledger impacts
Strong background in LIHTC, including mixed use and 100 percent projects, experience within the 15 year compliance period, EUP, and 3 Year Past Placed in Service
Familiarity with HOME and general knowledge of CDBG, CPED, AHIF, and 4D
Experience working with AHC and or MHFA, with bonus consideration for experience working with syndicators or limited partners
Direct experience with agency file inspections, including first year file reviews preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams
Professionalism, discretion, and commitment to accuracy
The range of salary is $85,000-100,000 based on experience.

The hours for the position are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm.
