Are you a dedicated human services professional with a passion for leadership and compliance in residential services? St. Joseph’s Center, a compassionate nonprofit organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) Services to support and strengthen our ICF programs in Scranton and Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
This professional, exempt position provides critical administrative and clinical leadership support to the Director of ICF Programs. The Assistant Director plays a key role in supervising Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals (QIDPs), ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting high-quality, person-centered services for individuals ranging in age from infancy through adulthood.

What You'll Do:
Provide direct supervision, guidance, and evaluation of Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals (QIDPs).
Assess staffing needs, participate in hiring, and determine QIDP caseload assignments.
Review documentation and service records to ensure compliance with state and federal ICF regulations.
Assist with onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of QIDPs and related staff.
Review incident reports for completeness and conduct follow-up prior to administrative review.
Participate in incident review committees and provide feedback on investigations and corrective actions.
Collaborate with the Director of Programs regarding program implementation, staffing concerns, and operational issues.
Oversee and coordinate behavioral support services, including collaboration with behavior support teams, psychiatric, and psychological providers.
Ensure timely review of Behavioral Support Plans and required consents in coordination with the Human Rights Committee.
Support compliance with billing, admissions documentation, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain working knowledge of HCSIS and ensure accurate data entry and documentation.
Maintain certification as a Certified Incident Investigator.
Assist with payroll processes, staff scheduling, and summer programming coordination.
Demonstrate the ability to meet the personal, developmental, and therapeutic needs of individuals served, including hands-on support as needed.

What's Required of You:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in residential or ICF services.
Strong knowledge of ICF regulations, behavioral programming, and compliance standards.
Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and occasional lifting (10–25 pounds).
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Flexibility to meet the diverse and evolving needs of the facility.
