Overview 

Our client is seeking a dynamic Assistant Director or Nursing
(ADON) to join their Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. This role is pivotal in
providing clinical leadership, ensuring superior patient care, standardizing
clinical protocols, and contributing to the successful recruitment and
retention of clinical staff. If you are passionate about healthcare and

Key Responsibilities 

- Acts as the Infection Control Officer and collaborates
with the Director of Nursing and the Medical Director in developing infection
control programs and processes.

- Serves as the back-up to the Education Coordinator to
ensure regulatory compliance for annual, mandated in service training for newly
hired and existing nursing personnel in the skilled
nursing facility.

- Collaborates and coordinates orientation of all nursing
personnel with the Education Coordinator and Nurse Managers to ensure
familiarity with the facility policies and procedures, documentation
requirements and resident needs.

- Works in small groups and/or 1:1 to teach skills to
employees as identified in their performance appraisals.

- Functions in the role of Infection control Officer and
performs Infection Control rounds, audits and studies including developing and
implementing interventions to resolve any identified problems

- Maintains Infection Control Statistics and reports,
providing such to the monthly Quality Assurance and Risk Management Committee

- Oversees all aspects of the Restorative Nursing program

Requirements 

Education: 

- Bachelors Preferred
