Step I: $76,751 ($36.90/hr.) – $92,101 ($41.51/hr.) Salary is dependent on experience. Each salary band is broken into three "steps," which correspond with an employee’s experience/tenure, proficiency and performance in that specific role. New employees will typically start at step I of our pay band to allow for later growth.

The Assistant Director of Prospect Management will support the philanthropic goals of the OHSU Foundation by driving prospect management and tracking, prospect identification, and portfolio management and analysis for assigned partners. The Assistant Director of Prospect Management will also manage the process for tracking prospects in the fundraising database and provides training on the effective use of the system.
PROSPECT MANAGEMENT
Collaborate with development officers, fundraising leadership, and other internal partners to understand portfolio needs; implement innovative solutions to address moves management and fundraising strategies
Partner with new gift officers to develop and establish new portfolios, and transition portfolios following development staffing changes Develop and implement the tools necessary to keep a robust prospect pool that relates directly to the goals and targets of the assigned unit(s)
Lead individual and group portfolio review meetings and strategy sessions
Monitor prospect pool and forecast. Provide relevant and timely information and analysis to optimize portfolio(s)
Perform other duties in support of foundation’s prospect management and research efforts as assigned
PROSPECT IDENTIFICATION AND ANALYTICS
Conduct in-depth analysis on gift officer portfolios with the goal to optimize portfolios and identify opportunities for new prospects
Partner with gift officers to provide timely and accurate information to inform solicitation process
Partner with Research team members to ensure proactive referrals are appropriately assigned
DATA INTEGRITY AND SERVICE
Provide prompt, thorough, and accurate service through the completion of prospect management requests
MENTORSHIP
Customer service-minded; eager to understand and meet the needs of stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and synthesize various data points to inform prospect strategy and make portfolio assignment decisions
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to partner with many different constituencies, including the OHSUF communications team and other internal colleagues, OHSU faculty and staff, alumni and donors, and volunteers
Demonstrated understanding of development and major gifts fundraising and how research and prospect management supports development efforts
Demonstrated mastery in the collection, analysis, interpretation and evaluation of information
Understanding of multiple screening strategies and methodologies, including data mining, segmentation, and analytics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with major- and principal-gift level strategy development, prospect management, research, and prospecting
5-7 years in a development research and prospect management office or related experience, preferably in healthcare, higher education or complex non-profit environment
Experience working in a relational database (Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce Affinaquest preferred)
