About the Opportunity

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Assistant Engineering Branch Manager with a strong background in civil and geotechnical engineering. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced engineer who is ready to guide teams, manage complex projects, and contribute to the continued growth of the branch.

The position offers exposure to both geotechnical and construction materials testing (CMT) projects while providing scope for mentorship, business development, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team, focusing on staff development and project delivery.
• Manage geotechnical and CMT staff to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Review and prepare senior-level geotechnical reports.
• Support business development initiatives and strengthen client relationships.
• Mentor junior staff and create a collaborative team environment

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (Required)
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited program)
• 10 - 15 years of combined technical and managerial experience
• Strong background in Geotechnical Engineering and CMT
• Proven ability in team leadership and client development
• Prior experience with military engineering projects (preferred)

• Minimum education: Masters degree preferred
• No travel required
