Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following) :
* Assist in the management of all stewarding operations to include, but not limited to, inventory management, maintenance of sanitation and cleanliness standards, systems management, budget and forecasting, health inspections, safety initiatives, report generation, department management, meeting participation and facilitation, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability
* Assist the Executive Steward and Executive Sous Chef in the preparation of the Stewarding Department budget
* Work with Executive Steward, Executive Sous Chef, and Banquets leadership on the purchasing of all cleaning supplies, china, glassware, cutlery and other discussed equipment
* Responsible for storage, requisitioning, inventory, and purchasing of all materials and equipment assigned to the stewarding department
* Assist in taking and calculating of material stock (inventory) as required on a quarterly basis
* Check all back of house F&B areas and ensure their cleanliness and functionally (linen/cleaning supplies)
* Ensure OS&E Breakage is monitored and recorded correctly
* Ensure compliance by all Stewarding personnel with Company and departmental rules, schedules, policies, and procedures
* Ensure all Equipment is cleaned and sanitized in accordance with the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) program
* Ensure Safety equipment is used for appropriate tasks
* Schedule labor force and assign work for efficient use of equipment and personnel
* Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Position Requirements :
* Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
* Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
* Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 4 years previous experience in the hospitality Food and Beverage / Banquets division, specifically in Stewarding
* Must have at least 1 year of management experience
* Knowledge of statutory requirements regarding health and safety, sanitation, proper chemical usage, fire procedures, and HACCP
* Knowledge of all kitchen equipment operations (i.e.: dishwashers, burnishers, etc.)
Education :
* High School education or equivalent
