Description of Work

This is an Anticipated Vacancy as of 08/01/2026.

The State Farmers Market in Raleigh is a bustling, state-owned marketplace open seven days a week, 364 days a year. Home to year-round tenants and hundreds of growers from across NC and neighboring states, the Market offers fresh produce, plants, meats, and a wide variety of local agricultural goods.

We’re seeking a key team member to help manage daily operations of this multi-faceted market. Under the Market Manager’s guidance, this role oversees staff, enforces market policies, communicate pricing and market updates, resolves vendor issues, and manages procurement and purchase orders to keep everything running smoothly.

Position may include night, weekend and/or holiday work.

Recruitment Range: $52,592 - $75,000

  • Knowledge of various agricultural products.

  • Knowledge of agricultural marketing.

  • Ability to supervise, plan, and direct staff and work operations.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
