About the State Park Inns:
The Indiana State Park Inns are one of the oldest state parks lodging systems in the country. We proudly operate seven unique and beautiful facilities throughout our great state of Indiana that offer a unique experience for guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and make memories naturally!

The historic Potawatomi Inn, located within Pokagon State Park, sits along the shore of one of Indiana’s largest lakes, Lake James, in Angola, Indiana. The inn features 126 guest rooms, 12 cabins, two onsite restaurants (Lakeview Restaurant and the Courtyard Café), an indoor pool, and 10,000 square feet of banquet/conference space.

Role Overview:

Responsible for the purchasing, receiving, storage, and production of food products for all food outlets. Must be able to build business through menu selections, consistent quality and presentation. Accountable for cost controls of food production and outlet sales. Must be able to hire, train, and motivate competent staff. Must be able to communicate effectively with other Departmental Managers and subordinates.

Salary:

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $25.59/hr but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

At the Indiana State Park Inns, success is based around teamwork, quality, integrity, loyalty, passion, friendliness, and safety. Indiana State Park Inns workers provide friendly customer service while ensuring the general upkeep of the Inns to provide guest with a high-quality experience. Exempt positions serve in the following areas:
Central Office – Located in downtown Indianapolis, central office positions aid in centralized leadership, human resources, finance, payroll, and administrative functions.
- Positions may include: Assistant Business Development Managers, Training Managers, Accounting Supervisors, Special Projects Managers, Business Development Managers, Human Resources Manager, information technology Mangers, Regional Managers, Deputy Directors
Principal – These positions work at Inns properties to support day-to-day operations, ensuring superior guest satisfaction while maximizing hotel profitability.
- Positions may include: HR/Account Coordinators, Department Managers, Department Supervisors, Department Superintendents, Department Assistant Directors, Department Directors, Sales Directors, Assistant General Managers, General Managers

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.

This role should expect to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Individuals may be required to wear an Indiana State Park Inns-provided uniform.
Ability to hold effective communication with coworkers and guests and assist them as needed.
Ability to supervise employees.
Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
