Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant General Manager to assume the responsibilities of Foxtown Brewing. The AGM while reporting to the General Manager will direct activities for FOH. They will be part of a team responsible for leadership, development of staff, sustainability of food and beverage initiatives, high standards of food and beverage quality, guest satisfaction/service, revenues and profit margins. To support this role, the AGM will also work closely with the General Manager and the Corporate Office support staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· As second in charge, manage the daily operations of Foxtown Brewing FOH inclusive of staffing, specials, general operations etc.
· Identify, delegate and train staff to assume various responsibilities and ensure objectives are met and guest service is achieved.
· Manage and respond in an efficient and accurate manner to all guest complaints.
· Work with your team to consistently review operations and staff to identify problems, concerns, and areas of improvement identifying root cause and implementing solutions.
· Implement/manage and drive draft/pre-packaged beers sales via technical and informal staff training.
· Develop and maintain working relationship with Corporate Accounting and Human Resources to provide timely exchange of data needed for reporting to review financials, invoicing, purchase order, labor needs etc.
· Work with the team to ensure hiring and recruitment of all hourly associates for ramp ups and slow periods are met.
· In conjunction with HR, develop and mentor associates to best utilization to promote an internal growth pattern and PIP plans.
· Improve service by communicating with and assisting associates and individuals to understand guests needs, feedback, and suggestions.
· Hands on experience with inventory and inventory software to oversee management of weekly inventory for both FOH and BOH. Reporting to accounts payable in a timely, accurate fashion.
Requirements
· Advanced general computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Experience in restaurant/bar industry management
· Must be a self-starter with great organizational skills and strong attention to detail
· Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously, reprioritizing as needed
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
· Able to handle sensitive staff and guest situations in an appropriate and professional manner
· Ability to communicate in Spanish helpful
· Requires a related associate degree and a minimum of two to five years’ experience in management within a casual dining concept or a related Bachelor’s degree with one to two years’ experience.
· Familiarity with restaurant management software such as Toast, Open Table, Tock, Binwise, Partender, Hot Schedules, SAGE, etc.
· Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
