Assistant General Manager

Seeking general manager for established successful restaurant in Edgewater, NJ. The restaurant is dynamic and popular with locals and foodies. The food program is Modern American - upscale, expressing principles of quality, skill of execution, and freshness of ingredients. Bar program is progressive. Beverage program is large and diverse.

The position entails all manager responsibilities: P&L, COGS, Payroll, facilities, schedules, guest interaction and relations, service team direction and support, concept and morale driving, service standards enforcement, support of management team. Fine dining experience preferred; bonus points for sommelier training, bar experience, etc. Ideal candidate will have been a front of house manager for at least 5 years, and a general manager for 3+ years. Must be able to work holidays, nights and weekends, no exceptions!

Responsibilities:

• Supervise management team and staffs.


• Adjust daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency


• Train and evaluate employees


• Track monthly results and trends for business forecasting


• Resolve escalated customer complaints

• Previous experience in restaurant management plus 3 years GM level experience required.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
