Job Description - Assistant General Manager

Company Information:

Headquartered in Palm Desert, CA, Daily Grill Concepts is a restaurant company with 5 restaurants in two states. The Company boasts 2 different, yet complimentary brands, spanning the spectrum from Upscale Casual Daily Grill to the hip and trendy Public School Gastro Pubs.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Assistant General Manager!

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the restaurant including the selection, development and performance management of employees and maintaining the company culture of the restaurant while exceeding the financial objectives of the restaurant.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations

• Design strategy and set goals for growth

• Assist with maintaining budgets and optimize expenses

• Assist with setting and communicating company policies and processes

• Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally

• Assist with recruitment and training of new employees

• Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance Deliver superior service and maximize guest's satisfaction

• Deliver superior service and maximize guest's satisfaction

• Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

• Assist with the employee assessment process

• Prepare regular reports for upper management

• Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations

• Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)

• Other duties will be assigned

 Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years in a full-service restaurant

• Ability to self-develop

• Must have an open availability including weekends and holidays

• Strong multi-tasking ability, with the ability to work well under pressure

• Positive and Professional Attitude

• Knowledge of business process and functions (Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations, etc.)

• Excellent Communication skills

• Knowledge of Aloha, Outlook, Paycom and R365 management systems

• Strong analytical ability

• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills

• Problem-solving aptitude

• Must be committed to our mission and culture
