As the Assistant General Manager at our Hampton Inn in Northwest Wichita, you’ll partner with the General Manager to lead our team, drive operational success, and ensure every guest experience reflects our commitment to quality and service. You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the hotel, supporting a team environment where both guests and employees thrive.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY

Located in Northwest Wichita, Kansas, our Hampton Inn sits along the north shore of Cadillac Lake in the growing retail district near West 29th Street and Maize Road. The four-story hotel features 93 guest rooms, including eight suites, and offers a range of amenities designed for both business and leisure travelers.

Guests enjoy an indoor pool, fitness center, meeting space, and an outdoor lounge and firepit overlooking Cadillac Lake. With a contemporary design inspired by the local landscape, the hotel offers a welcoming setting and the dependable hospitality guests expect from the Hampton by Hilton brand.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Assistant General Manager, you’ll be instrumental in achieving operational excellence. In this role, you will:

• Support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, breakfast, and guest services.
• Lead and motivate department leaders and associates to achieve their goals, ensuring high standards of service and efficiency.
• Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, labor, and expense control.
• Handle guest feedback, resolving issues and enhancing the overall guest experience.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing a talented and engaged team.
• Ensure compliance with Hampton by Hilton brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the hotel.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the hotel.

WHAT YOU BRING

We’re seeking a dynamic, results-driven leader with a passion for hospitality. To excel in this role, you’ll need:

• At least 3 years of hotel management experience, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
• Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets and forecasts.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
