As Assistant General Manager, you will play a vital role in leading our team, driving sales growth, and fostering a culture of excellence to take our business to the next level.

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AGM who is passionate about the restaurant industry and possesses a strong track record of success. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, focused on achieving sales growth, and dedicated to retaining top talent. In addition to managing the team and ensuring guest satisfaction, this person may assist the GM with marketing outreach to gain more business - be it visits to local businesses, residences, hotel concierges, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Assist the GM to develop and execute a strategic plan to drive sales growth, increase market share, and enhance profitability.
  • Identify new business opportunities, trends, and market demands to ensure the restaurant remains competitive and at the forefront of the industry.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and innovation to inspire and motivate the staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Assist the GM with Sales Growth and Business Development: Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to attract new customers and increase repeat business.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and industry trends to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate actions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute promotional campaigns, events, and partnerships to drive revenue growth.
  • Financial Management: Control costs and expenses while maintaining the highest quality standards in all aspects of operations.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and generate regular reports for senior management.
  • Team Management and Development: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of FOH professionals.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and employee satisfaction.
  • Implement performance management processes to recognize top performers, provide coaching and feedback, and address underperformance.
  • Guest Satisfaction and Quality Assurance: Ensure that exceptional service standards are consistently delivered, and guest satisfaction is maintained at the highest level.
  • Monitor and address customer feedback and reviews, taking appropriate actions to resolve any issues and enhance the dining experience
  • Maintain and enforce high-quality standards for food, beverages, cleanliness, and overall ambiance.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience as an AGM or in a similar leadership role within the fine dining sector of the restaurant industry.
  • Strong track record of driving sales growth, increasing profitability, and achieving business targets.
  • Excellent knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management abilities.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
