Role Overview: As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in assisting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the sports bar. You will ensure exceptional guest experiences, oversee staff performance, and contribute to the overall success and profitability of the establishment.

Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:

   • Assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of daily operations, including staffing, inventory management, and facility maintenance.
   • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, cleanliness standards, and licensing requirements.
   • Oversee the execution of opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management.
   • Ordering of Supplies for front of house operations including beer, wine, liquor, and paper products
   • Assist in managing to-go orders and process

2. Staff Supervision and Training:

   • Supervise and motivate staff members to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive work environment.
   • Conduct training sessions for new hires and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for existing staff.
   • Schedule and coordinate staff shifts, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak business hours and special events.

3. Guest Relations:

   • Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and resolve any issues promptly and courteously.
   • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the overall guest experience.
   • Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that reflects the spirit of camaraderie and community associated with sports culture.

4. Financial Management:

   • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to optimize revenue generation and cost control.
   • Monitor sales performance, analyze financial reports, and identify opportunities for profitability enhancement.
   • Collaborate with the General Manager to create and execute marketing initiatives, promotions, and events to drive business growth.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a sports bar or similar establishment.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management, cost control, and menu development.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and POS systems.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
