Assistant Hiring and Operations Manager - Pigeon Forge

We are seeking a highly organized, people-focused Assistant Hiring and Operations Manager to support recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day operations across multiple retail photography locations within the Pigeon Forge market. This hybrid role primarily coordinates recruitment and new-hire onboarding for frontline positions while providing hands-on operational and leadership support at our locations as business needs require.

The ideal candidate has experience in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, or HR administration, along with retail or hospitality leadership experience, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

As an Assistant Hiring and Operations Manager:

• Coordinate recruitment activities across assigned locations, including reviewing applications, conducting initial candidate screenings, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates and hiring managers.


• Manage new-hire onboarding activities in UKG Pro/Ulti Pro, ensuring onboarding tasks, required documentation, and I-9 employment verification are completed accurately and on time.


• Serve as a point of contact for candidates and new hires, answering questions and helping ensure a smooth, positive hiring and onboarding experience.


• Provide on-site operational and leadership support when recruitment and onboarding demands allow, including guest service, photography and sales activities, team supervision, staff training, and assistance with daily retail operations.


• Partner with site leadership to identify staffing needs, address operational priorities, and support a positive team and guest experience.

Requirements and other details:

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is a plus.


• Approximately 1+ years experience in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, HR administration, or a related field preferred.


• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Lead, or in a similar retail, hospitality, or customer service leadership role preferred.


• Experience supporting employee training, team supervision, scheduling, or day-to-day operational activities is a plus.


• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or HRIS platforms; UKG Pro/UltiPro experience is a plus.


• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills, and follow-through.


• Ability to handle confidential information professionally and manage multiple priorities across locations.


• Comfortable working in a hands-on retail or hospitality environment and supporting guest service and sales activities as needed.


• Flexible availability to support business needs, including weekends, evenings, and holidays when required.


• Ability to travel between assigned locations within the market
