Job Description - Assistant Infant Teacher

Heartfelt Impressions is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher to join our team in the Infant classroom at our Clarkston campus. As an Assistant Infant Teacher, you will provide exceptional care and education for young children from 6 weeks to 1 year of age. You will collaborate with and support the Lead Infant Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants. At Heartfelt Impressions, we use the High Scope curriculum in all classrooms.

POSITION DETAILS:

Status: Regular, full-time
Shift: Day
Schedule: Monday through Friday (8am-5pm)
Pay Range: $13 - $16 per hour (based on experience, education, current employment status and/or years of service)
NOTE: This position is NOT eligible for VISA Sponsorship or relocation assistance

Requirements:

Possess a CDA (Child Development Associate) certificate or working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred)
Background Check completed by Heartfelt Impressions
Must be 18 years or older
Reliable transportation
Prior experience with Infants in the classroom setting (preferred)

Essential functions of the Assistant Infant Teacher are…

Ensures overall safety of children
Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
Implement High Scope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
Attend company/school meetings
Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate
Ensure cleaning tasks are completed
Physically able to lift 15 pounds
