Job Description - Assistant Infant Teacher

Heartfelt Impressions is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Infant Teacher to join our team in Lake Orion.

DETAIL:
  • Status: Regular, full-time
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Shift: Days, 7:30am-4:30pm, no weekends
  • Starting rate: $13/hour and up dependent upon experience and education
  • NOTE: This position does not qualify for US Visa sponsorship or relocation
Requirements:
  • You must be 18 years of age or older
  • You must have reliable transportation
  • Have prior experience as a Nanny or with Infants in the classroom setting (preferred)  
  • Possess a Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA) or working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
  • Consent to background screening including fingerprinting

Essential functions…
As an Assistant Infant Teacher, you will provide exceptional care and education for young children 6 weeks to 1 year of age.  You will collaborate with and support the Lead Infant Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants.
  • Ensures overall safety of children
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
  • Implement High Scope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
  • Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Attend company/school meetings
  • Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate
  • Ensure cleaning tasks are completed
  • Physically able to lift 15 pounds
