About Us
Renee’s Kid’s World originated in 1996, as a Family Daycare of 6 children, with one assistant, in the home of Mr. and Mrs. James and Renee Williams. Only God knew what he had in store for this business.
In the year 2000, Children were being enrolled from the East, West, North and South areas of Savannah. At that time, additional space was added to the existing home that would accommodate a maximum of 16 children and 2 more staff were hired. Renee’s Kids World was then elevated from a Family Daycare to a Group Daycare.
In 2004, Renee’s Kids World was titled as a Home of Distinction by Bright from the Start.
In 2007, the enrollment exceeded the capacity of 16 children, so the hours of operation were extended to provide ‘round the clock care. At that time, a total of 24 children and 4 staff rotated throughout the Group Home of Renee’s Kids World.
In the year 2009 Renees Kids World received recognition as the Group Daycare of the Year by the Lutheran Ministries.
In 2010, Savannah Technical College posted billboards all over Savannah in honor of the achievements Mrs. Williams had made by graduating with a TCD, TCC and CDA in Early Childhood.
In 2012, Renee’s Kid’s World was recognized in the Savannah Exchange.
In November 2013, the owner, Harriett Renee Williams, stepped out on faith and expanded to a new home for Renees Kids World that would accommodate 125 children. By December of 2014, it was filled to the capacity with a waiting list of 22 children.
