Assistant Kitchen Manager High-Volume Production Kitchen

We are seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to help oversee a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen operation. This is not a traditional chef role-our kitchen focuses on high-volume food preparation, portioning, and execution to serve a 940-seat arena.

This position is ideal for a motivated leader who excels in organization, team support, and maintaining consistency in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising, training, and supporting kitchen staff


• Help manage food preparation, portioning, and timely execution of meals


• Ensure accuracy in food counts and efficient oven-based preparation


• Maintain food quality, safety, and sanitation standards


• Support daily kitchen operations during high-volume service


• Assist with inventory, waste, and cost controls


• Help with scheduling and staffing needs


• Coordinate with other departments to support show operations


• Step in to oversee kitchen operations in the Kitchen Manager's absence

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of leadership experience in food service, production, or a similar environment


• Strong organizational and time management skills


• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, high-volume setting


• Experience with inventory or food production processes preferred


• ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)

• High-volume, production-style kitchen


• Standing/walking for extended periods


• Lifting up to 50 lbs
