Job Qualifications 

The following requirements must be met in order to qualify for this position.

  • Work experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Must be eighteen years of age ( minimum )
  • Communication and team management abilities
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per week
  • Must be able to stand and move around the store during the entire shift.
  • Must have reliable transportation and must be consistently punctual.
  • Must like to smile and be polite. Not kidding here.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS. While performing the duties of this job, the manager and team member is required to use hands repetitively, stand, walk, grasp firmly/strongly and simply/lightly with hands, and use fine finger dexterity. The manager and team member is frequently required to bend over, twist, reach above shoulder level, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally, the manager and team member is required to sit, climb, balance, push and/or pull, and to lift and/or move over 51 pounds. The manager and team member are also required to work outside for thirty minute to sixty minute work intervals.

Capabilities Requirement:

  • Coach, Train, and evaluate professionally all personnel on each shift.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Inventory management: the management of food costs through training and oversight.
  • High-level guest satisfaction skills - directly and indirectly through staff.
  • Insure that all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks and checklists are being completed correctly.
  • Managing staff to provide high quality guest experience while managing labor expense.
  • Insure that daily cash drawers, safe and credit cards are balanced.
  • Operate the store to meet or exceed budgeted operating goal.
  • Insure that all product quality standards are met.
  • Create an environment of professionalism within your store.
  • Create an environment of quality within your store.
  • Create an environment of safety within your store.
  • Lead a team well and coach the performance of others.

Responsibilities:

The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities and complete all training requirements including:

  • Train, Coach, Assess, and Support Team Member roles development.
  • Run PROFITABLE Shifts.
  • Master Zaxby’s Back of House Development Plan
  • Master Zaxby’s Front of House Development Plan
  • Hands-on stations training
  • Provide friendly, enthusiastic service for all team members and guests
  • Demonstrates safety awareness by walking around the store regularly inspecting the premises
  • Professionally manages team member altercations.
  • Professionally manages dissatisfied guests.
  • Promptly greet guests.
  • Proactively maintain a safe store: parking lots, entire restaurant, and including bathrooms.
  • Good math and reporting skillls
  • Maintain awareness of current food promotions
  • Maintain awareness of the restaurant premises: inside and outside
  • Explain menu items, answer questions, and suggest additional items
  • Enthusiastically represent the Zaxby’s brand
  • Accurately complete orders and guest transactions
  • Enter guest orders accurately into the point of sale system
  • Accept payments, operate cash registers, and maintain receipts
  • Handle cash payments, count and verify tills, and record totals appropriately
  • Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment
  • Clean and maintain guest areas including dining room, counters, bathrooms, and building exterior
  • Maintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needs
  • Stock paper goods, condiments, serveware, and beverages
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Other work assigned
