The Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage will be responsible for bringing the brand promise to life in all of the resort recreational amenities and outlets. The role serves as guest advocate and key advisor to the Guest Engagement Senior Manager, Director, Senior Director or General Manager and leads the operation of resort activities, food & beverage, and retail outlet departments. Success in this role is measured primarily by onsite and post-stay guest survey responses evaluating the quality of the amenity and engagement offerings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS

• Lead the daily operations of assigned F&B outlets, including bar and beverage operations, while ensuring consistent service, quality, safety, and brand standards. 


• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop team members; foster a positive culture focused on engagement, performance, and exceptional guest experiences.


• Oversee bar and beverage operations, including liquor and pour standards, beverage service, inventory, beverage costs, menu/drink creation, and revenue-generating initiatives and events.


• Partner with leadership on staffing, budgeting, inventory, vendor performance, financial goals, and operational improvements; monitor expenses and operate the department within established budgetary guidelines.


• Use guest feedback and operational results to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance overall guest satisfaction.


• Maintain compliance with company policies, alcohol-service requirements, health and safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.


• Maintain effective partnerships with third-party vendors and ensure service, product, and performance standards are met.


• Demonstrate Brandhearted leadership by modeling company values, building strong team relationships, and creating a fun and memorable guest experience.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• 3+ years of Food & Beverage management or supervisory experience, preferably in a high-volume hotel, resort, restaurant, or hospitality environment. 


• Demonstrated hands-on experience with bar and beverage operations, including liquor, pour standards, beverage costs, inventory, and beverage service.


• Experience with beverage/menu creation, revenue-generating initiatives, and high-volume or event-based bar operations preferred.


• General financial experience, including budgets, inventory, cost control, and financial reporting.


• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teams while balancing guest satisfaction, operational standards, and financial goals.


• Strong communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilize F&B technology and operating systems.


• Open availability, including weekends and holidays, is required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required


• Four year college degree preferred


• 2 years customer facing service/hospitality

• ServSafe certified preferred
