Job Description - Assistant Manager - Oil & Lube



Rydell Auto Center is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Oil & Lube department, also known as PDQ.  The primary purpose of this position is to work with the department manager to manage and oversee the PDQ department in the critical areas of financial management, guest experience, and performance of personnel.

Schedule/Pay



  • Schedule availability of 9am-6pm Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays

  • Pay range is $45K-$50K based on managerial experience

Responsibilities



  • Ensure all Team Members are in the right place at the right time during each scheduled shift

  • Assist the PDQ Manager with managing the staff of Express Service Representatives (Advisors) and Technicians

  • Maintain a positive guest experience in PDQ

  • Assist with the schedule for all PDQ staff to ensure optimal coverage

  • Assist with monitoring finances of PDQ including the annual budget and budget forecasting

  • Build a team atmosphere with high morale

  • Assist with interviewing

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to daily challenges


Qualifications



  • 1-2 years management experience preferred 

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate, cooperate, interpret and communicate information that is not always straightforward

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Strong problem solving skills
