Big Blue Swim School is a fast-growing, mission-driven company dedicated to showing kids they can do anything by unlocking their full potential in the water. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our O'Fallon, MO location—the first of four planned locations in the Metro St. Louis area.

Role Scope

The Assistant Manager – Operations & Marketing supports daily site execution and local growth by ensuring consistent operational standards and visible community presence.

Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising shift coverage, coaching team members, and reinforcing safety and service expectations
- Monitoring front-desk workflows, scheduling, and issue resolution to maintain a family-focused experience
- Coordinating local outreach, partnerships, and events; serving as a brand representative in the community
- Supporting social media planning and posting across platforms, with attention to voice and brand consistency
- Tracking basic performance indicators and escalating risks or trends proactively

Required qualifications and skills:
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong written/verbal communication, organization, and critical thinking
- Comfort with networking and social platforms; ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Availability for mid-shifts, evenings, and weekends

Daily Rhythm

You will typically arrive ahead of peak traffic to review priorities, confirm staffing coverage, and align on the evening’s customer communications. As families check in, you will rotate between observing service touchpoints, answering escalated questions, and keeping the facility running smoothly. Between lesson blocks, you will document notes, follow up on open items, and prepare brief updates for leadership. During slower windows, you will refine outreach plans, coordinate with local contacts, and schedule upcoming posts to maintain consistent visibility. The shift closes with a concise wrap-up: confirming next-day readiness, summarizing any incidents or trends, and ensuring the team leaves with clear direction for the next set of mid-shifts, evenings, and weekend periods.
