We are hiring an Assistant Branch Manager to oversee the floater team to ensure exceptional internal and external Member experiences while providing leadership coverage to all Branch and Retail Operations teams at CU SoCal.

  

Business Hours

Monday – Friday 8:30AM to 5:30PM and Saturday 8:30AM - 1:30PM*

*Based on business needs, this position may require flexible working hours, including weekends, as well as the possibility of working at or transferring to a neighboring branch within a reasonable commuting distance. 

This position is based in Anaheim Hills CA with the opportunity to work a hybrid-remote schedule which consist of 2 days in-office and 3 days working remote from home.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 2+ years of analytical and problem-solving experience in operations, analysis, process improvement, and/or program/project management role. Working experience in a financial / credit union environment.
  • This role requires driving and must meet and maintain the following requirements:
    • Hold a valid CA state driver’s license in good standing that is not actively suspended, revoked, or restricted.
    • Have reliable personal transportation. Use of any means of public transportation or ridesharing services will not satisfy this requirement.
    • Must maintain state liability auto insurance coverage with a minimum of 100/300/100 limits on the vehicle that will be used for work.
    • Maintain clean Motor Vehicle Records (MVR).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or related field. 
  • Familiar with Symitar or other similar banking systems.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in using all applicable MS Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Power Point.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize day-to-day duties and execute on projects, researching solutions in both an individual and team environment.
  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with staff in other departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coach, train, and develop the floater team to ensure accurate and professional interactions with the highest level of Member service both internally and externally. 
  • Review and triage staffing requests to effectively coordinate and dispatch coverage, to maintain exceptional service levels. 
  • Monitor and conduct field visits three days a week to observe and coach assigned team members, to ensure appropriate growth and development. In addition, prepare and manage performance objectives for each assigned team member including performance appraisals and development plans.
  • Ensures branch operations are conducted in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with regulatory requirements. 
  • Serves on project work teams, at times as a project lead, to solve business challenges that result in process improvements that create business efficiencies.
  • Assists in developing, coordinating, and conducting ongoing training on savings, lending, and cross-selling programs; assist in creating and implementing ORGs; assists in researching, proposing, and implementing new and enhanced products/services to management.
  • Assists in setting objectives, developing strategies, budgeting, and developing policies and procedures.
  • Complete understanding and active application the Exceptional Experience Guide expectations.
  • Must be able and available to work a hybrid schedule, per business operations requirement, as needed
  • Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

We support Pay Transparency and are a pay-for-performance organization that benchmarks base pay to the 50th percentile of market data.

Pay Scale: Min $66,560 / Mid $71,263.71 / Max $83,882.86 per year*

*Actual compensation will be based on geographical location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
