Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our New Free-Standing Emergency Department at Baptist Silverleaf. This full-time Night shift (36 hours) leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to support a high-performing emergency team while delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Assistant Nurse Manager, Emergency Department, Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients as needed to support unit operations
• Assess and reassess unit workflow and clinical performance to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Serve as a liaison between staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary departments
• Act as a clinical and operational resource for staff; mentor team members and provide ongoing feedback
• Monitor and adjust staffing and man-hours in alignment with the unit budget
• Assist the Nurse Manager with employee relations, including disciplinary actions and annual performance evaluations
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional excellence

Experience Requirements:

• 3-5 Years Medical Surgical Experience
• 3-5 Years Nursing Experience
• Telemetry Experience
• Leadership Experience
• Charge Nurse Experience

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Associate of Science in Nursing Required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred
• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred
• Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred
