Assistant Nurse Manager - Radiology Care Unit & Vascular Access Nursing

Full Time (80 hours) | 8 or 10-hour shifts

Day/Midnight rotation depending on the needs of the department

Weekends and holidays as required by the department

​ChristianaCare is currently seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for our Radiology Care Unit (RCU) and Vascular Accessing Nursing (VAN) departments. In this role, the Assistant Nurse Manager will assist the Nurse Manager in the clinical and administrative activities of the department in order to ensure patients the provision of quality care. The ANM will also assist the Nurse Manager to oversee staff in both departments which are located at both our Newark and Wilmington Campuses.

Responsibilities:

• Supervises all nursing and technical personnel: Assesses competency of staff, oversees daily staffing and scheduling needs of department, evaluate staff performance, counsel/coach staff member as needed.
• Participates in hiring, promotion, and termination decisions.
• Functions as role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors.
• Directs, mentors and supports all levels of staff.
• Develops, implements and monitors performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and professionalism of staff.
• Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements appropriate changes and system wide improvements.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Master's degree in a nursing, healthcare or business management field required or currently enrolled to be obtained within 5 years of promotion into position. (If no BSN, Master's degree in nursing is required).
• 3-5 years clinical and leadership experience in area or specialty required
• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty required
• Current nursing licensure in the State of Delaware or compact state required.

Hourly Pay Range: $54.03 - $86.45This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
